The GradeCam team has a keen understanding of the fact that “learning is driven by what teachers and pupils do in classrooms,” and is deeply committed to ensuring GradeCam is available to teachers everywhere–saving them time, reducing their stress, and helping them improve the quality of their day-to-day instruction.

The Story

Teachers have too much paperwork!

As a 7th-grader teacher, Tami Porter felt overwhelmed by the massive number of papers she collected every day and the time required to grade and enter them.

The idea for GradeCam was born the day she stopped by the grocery store after a particularly long week of grading and entering . As she watched the clerk scan her purchases she thought, “Wouldn’t it be wonderful if teachers could grade and record student work that easily?”

The solution started there–as a way to save teachers time. It’s come a long way since then and has evolved to solve more and more of teachers’ in-the-classroom needs and the needs of educators and students everywhere.
